+ Over the mountains and the sea
got alot to tok abt todaee.. yays!! ((: ` cos todae gt clsas outing and it was SUPER FUN!!!!
tis morn we started off to Labrador Park in da morning. yar.. den got dengue mosquitoes.. flying all over da place. so being da nice kind souls we are, we fed da mosquitoes. hah. ms koh told us abt da history of da place, wat happened etc. she said there was a tunnel tt led frm there to Fort Siloso in Sentosa! nice. we saw tt. there was tis dungeon-like place which they opened up(it was sealed b4 i tink) but entrance fee was $5.25. which i obviously was willing to pay.. budden ms koh said ltr.. so.. nv go larx. there was a cold draft frm inside.. wud be reli dark if they hadnt put some lamps inside. (:
den there were da guns. man. they shudd hv defended all over LAR. duh. shall nt elaborate. boo. den alot of the duno wat tingy lar. all over. but no time to explore da whole place. haiya. wat a waste rite. heh.
we went to the park later.. the scenary was beautiful... zy me and rui min(badbaaad english) went a few hundred metres away frm da rest and took alot of pictures. including one in which we hid behind a tree indian style and took pics. hahaha. lame rite. den we sat back to back and take.. lots more. den rui min wanted our SHOES taken. DOTS man. haha. aft tt we went back to da grp. yepps. den a few of dem make words using themselves and take pics. included 'YMCA' and 'love'. heh. den there was tis tree quite easy to climb, but wen i got near to it rui min suddenly shouted FROG!!!!! so i shrieked and ran off. hahaha. den the rest all crowded over and took pictures. urgh. lai weng and natalie climbed da tree and took pics aft tt. heh.
we were super hyper aft tt larx. walking back to the bus really very xin ku leh. all uphill. den rui min wudn stop her cucaracha. haiyaaaa.. trying to remind me tt i duno mvements izzit?! yar.. den ros and annabelle started a cheer.. so we cheered until halfway there larx. v shuang. so on da way to Kraniji War Memorial we were extremely hyper. did choir style warm ups, screamed, shrieked, sang... i realise i gotta brush up on my scores. blehhh. sorrie to ppl hu had to put up wif us. =) very fun LAR. mmhmmmms. oh yea. unfortunately we didnt get to go inside tt dungeon like place. sadness-
Kranji War Memorial. it was rather hot by then.. we saw the two presidents hu passed away in office. ms koh was asking us why they were so far apart. she gave us the ans wen we were back on da bus. was cos of religion purposes. heh. cant exactly remb all. d= den we went to look at the graves.. we were trying to look for Keanon's. da traitor hu was treated as a hero. =S couldnt find lei.. yar. den we were asked to look for da youngest soldier hu died. da youngest we found were at da age of 17.. so young!.. v sad lor. oldest was only 49 leh.. ms koh told us the youngest was 16. man.. so YOUNG!!!
den their families. while looking for the youngest soldier, we saw the gravestones of the soldiers' families.. extremely saddd.. there were babies hu died.. wen they were just born, 34 hrs, 8 days, few mths, few years.. some our age.. very very very sad.. oldest hao xiang shi 76. family of one of da soldiers i guess. haixx.. really really sad.. 3 of us were depressed over it even aft we left tt place. plus. some of the bodies couldnt be identified. so on the gravestones.. just got 'A Soldier in the War'. so sad lar! i mean, how wud u wana die and no one recognise u?! haixx..
well. we also couldnt find the 'Z' Force. 36 ppl hu were specially selected. and could swim extremely well. if i din remb wrongly dey were supposed to swim underwater and plant bombs and bomb da Jap air carrier. they succeeded the first time. but its reli scary lar. i mean, swim fast enuff so 1) u wun get caught and 2) u dun get killed by the bombs? scary.. well da second time, sadly, they perished.. cos they were discovered and couldnt swim away in time. so sad..
it was a really tranquil place. tis yr the ceremony taking place there on da 13th of november is gona be grand cos its the 60th anniversary of the war.. or sth liddat. hope i hvnt got da facts wrong. if i nv remb wrongly there are 422, 000 graves there. sadness..
we went to Botanical Gardens aft tt. hah. tis was by far the highest point todae. on da way there not as much noise.. but da three huge packets of potato chips? we polished dem rite off. hahaha. bad for health!!! heh. yar we went to the symphony hall. sat on the grassy SLANTED hill and had lunch. few of us went down to sit by the pond. haha. delicious lunch. finished wif ice pop. heh. well there were a few foreigners and they went on the stage.. and began to sing!!! so PRO!!! someone.. lai weng i tink. told us tt they were professional choir singers from Europe!!! *screams!!!!* so pro! we asked for encore.. and their autographs aft tt.
wah man. den we were like, ban men nong fu-ing in front of dem LAR!!! trying to sing.. SICK. tt was before they sang.
den rui min got abt half the class on stage and sang for dem. erm.. we sang 'The Prayer', 'Somewhere Out There', a bit of 'La Cucaracha' , a bitof 'Yesterday', in which i got super confused and was convinced i really hv to work on my scores and a bit of 'When You Believe'.. all of which were embarrassing flops. blehhhh. ah yes. rui min conducted. heeeex. anyw the 4 ladies were nice enough to clap.
dey gave us da choir dey were from.. and one even gave zy her personal address!!! oh man! whr can u meet such nice ppl?!?!?! plus one of dem works in a children's ensemble. and was wondering whether could have some exchage tingy or sth liddat. we were thrilled DUH! so so so so sooooooo happy!!!!! and they are performing at the Esplanade on the 4th of June. i plan to go. mmhmmms. will ask mum ltr. and rui min redrew from the msia trip cos her parents dun allow.. bad results etc. so zy rm and i can go watch dem!!! yeah!!!! they rock LAR!!
and tis is not all. aft tt we played dog and bone, wacko and we lay down on da grass! call me pathetic if u want to, but ive nv lain on da grass b4. it was realli nice. erm. i lay down cos of my overactive imagination in the first place.. heh. lame me.
alot of the niners lay down on da grass to form da word 'NINER'!!! so coool!! but cos of tt i got SUNBURNT. haixxx. v vv vv v nice. well my face was directly under the sun for abt 10 min.. so waddya expect? duh. b4 we went off zy rm and i took pics again. hahaha. at first i wanted zy and i only, head to head. but anyw. rm and annabelle join in and we put our heads together and take picture. hahahah. fun man! pooof! ahhahas.
went back to sch.. changed.. den went to Juntion 8. wif rui min gou jun lai weng zi yan annabelle. hahaha. in rm mum's car. we all sat on each other lar! so fun! sorrie ar gou jun i noe im super heavy.. heeeex. well we siao siao squeeze and take neoprints. den aft tt annabelle and me and zy take together.. first time i like all da pics!!!! hahaha. yeapps. den lai weng went off.. den we went to Cristofori(gt spell correctly anot?) and Precious Thots. heh. aft tt to Sembawang. den Ice Lemon Tee. den gou jun went off. so we went to look for more clothes. me, actually. i feel rather guilty abt dragging da two arnd liddat.. heh. well finally bought ONE solitary shirt. pathetic. blehhh.
den we went to some other shops and to OP whr annabelle gave us a lecture on skirts(errrrrrrrrr*rollseyes*haha) and den to mcdonalds. i tot de other 2 wud eat wif me so i got large fries and ice cream. dey gt ice cream. and wudnt eat the fries. URGH!!! wana make me fatter only!!! i fat enuff liao LAR!!! only managed to make to make dem eat a few. sadness-
well eventually i got so fed up i daoded dem until inside mrt. annabelle took bus so obviously still nt toking. humph! so mmmean. dey tease oso lar! gang up against me. unfaiiiiir. tis is wat happens wen u go out wif two chio bus. CRAPP. yar..
on the train.. er.. well... was crushed against one wall of the mrt cos of a couple hu wudnt budge. wah maaaaaaaaan. plus zy wasnt there cannot tok LAR. so wen i could move A BIT. i turn arnd and sign to her. as in, using sign lang. and sms. which is kinda stoopid and a total waste of money cos we were like only 30cm apart. CRAPP. by the time i was able to get OUT of tt corner i was super pissed lar. crapp. urrrrrgh. yar.. tts abt all..
oh yes. and i tink aft we lie down on de grass nv brush ourselves down properly.. wen i went to bathe my jeans inside still got grass. =X hahaha.
